Biography
Early Career and Education
Bojan Čontala studied at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, where he earned a Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering (2013–2023). During his studies, he was actively involved with the UNI Maribor Grand Prix Engineering (Formula Student team), first as a Test Engineer (2010–2013) and later as Team Captain (2012–2013). His role involved instrumentation, data capture, performance analysis, as well as leadership in project organization, finance, and marketing.
In recognition of his contributions, he received the University of Maribor Award (Svečana lista) in 2011.
He later pursued executive education at INSEAD, completing the program Leading the Effective Sales Force in 2022.
Career at Dewesoft
Bojan’s professional journey has been closely tied to Dewesoft, the Slovenian-headquartered leader in test and measurement solutions.
2013 – 2023 | Dewesoft d.o.o. (Slovenia & Europe)
Automotive Product Manager (2015–2019): Focused on automotive testing solutions, shaping products for NVH, vibration, and performance applications.
Sales Manager Europe (2019–2023): Oversaw business growth across the European market.
Deputy VP Sales (2020–2023): Supported global sales strategy, bridging technical expertise with customer development.
Managing Director, Dewesoft AB (2018–2022): Guided the Scandinavian branch, expanding Dewesoft’s presence in Northern Europe.
2023 – Present | Dewesoft USA (Whitehouse, Ohio)
Business Development Manager (2023): Responsible for market development in the U.S.
Director of Business Development (2024–Present): Currently leads Dewesoft USA’s growth strategy, working closely with industry leaders and customers to advance adoption of Dewesoft’s data acquisition technologies.

Bojan specializes in sales strategy, business development, and technical product leadership, with deep expertise in data acquisition systems, automotive testing, and structural monitoring applications. His combination of engineering and commercial skills enables him to serve as a bridge between customers’ technical challenges and Dewesoft’s innovative solutions.
He is multilingual, with professional proficiency in English and Croatian, in addition to his native Slovenian.

Bojan is an active contributor to Dewesoft’s global events, such as the Meet the Experts & User Group Meeting in Ohio, where he promotes hands-on learning, live demos, and knowledge-sharing among test & measurement professionals.
