Severa GNSS receiver devices are available, either in stand-alone chassis or integrated into the heart of our data acquisition systems. Scroll further for different options available.
Dewesoft GNSS instruments offer optional RTK (Real-time Kinematics) correction technology. RTK upgrade improves navigation accuracy down to 1 cm. It supports CMR+, RTCM 2.3, and RTCM 3.x GNSS corrections data. The RTK corrections data type is automatically detected.
Dewesoft provides all hardware and accessories needed to establish the RTK setup:
RTK base station
RTK antennas
3G and RF modems for data transmission between moving vehicles and base stations
Synchronization is the most important aspect of every test and measurement application. Without the right correlation of data, it's impossible to get correct results.
Parameters from navigational devices like position, velocity, acceleration, altitude, pitch, roll, and heading are completely synchronized down to microseconds to the data from other sources like CAN bus, analog (vibrations, deformations, flow), counter/encoder (RPM, angles), video, XCP/CCP, Kistler KiRoad, and others.
The GPS and IMU devices provide exact time information that allows different devices to be perfectly synchronized even if they are on the other side of the globe. This is great for test scenarios with multiple vehicles. Dewesoft NET technology allows getting all data to a master vehicle fully synchronized.
GPS-VGPS-HS and DS-VGPS-HSC GNSS receivers are GPS-based USB GNSS receiver devices for precise position, speed, and displacement measurement.
Devices are equipped with the latest GPS technology with 100 Hz GPS-based speed and displacement sensors. The result is a high-dynamic GPS receiver and an easy-to-use speed/distance sensor with high bandwidth. In addition to this, no calibration drives for different road conditions (ice, water, snow, off-road) are needed.
Real 100 Hz GPS engine
Portable and rugged construction
Insensitivity to the road surface (can be used on mud off-road, water, snow, ice,..)
No calibration is required
Easy-to-install and easy-to-use
Supports differential GPS (SBAS) as a standard function
Mark input for brake trigger switch
Data over USB or COM with zero latency PPS sync
CAN output (DS-VGPS-HSC)
The DS-GPS-CLOCK uses a 10 Hz GNSS sensor and can be used for simple positioning measurement applications as well as for synchronization of Dewesoft data acquisition systems.
The DS-GPS-CLOCK is a synchronized time base generator capable of using either GPS or IRIG as a time source. This allows completely synchronized data acquisition of multiple systems whether they are mobile or stationary. Additionally, the DS-GPS-CLOCK can also be used as an IRIG time code generator (output IRIG B/DC) synchronized to the GPS time.
The base of any GPS receiver is precise time measurement. In addition to the position information, a precise PPS (pulse per second) is generated by the GPS engine. This pulse is used to synchronize a 40 MHz oscillator with software PLL (phase-locked loop). The result is an ultra-stable 40 MHz clock source that is completely free of drift over time.
This modular EtherCAT® device synchronizes USB and EtherCAT-based data acquisition devices using GPS as the time source.
ECAT GPS junction has a built-in 10 Hz GPS receiver and connector for connecting GPS or IRIG-B-DC time code signal. The devices are synchronized using this time code.
The built-in GPS receiver can also be used for recording positioning information, just like with any other Dewesoft GNSS navigational device.
Our SBOX data processing computers can optionally be equipped with 10 Hz or 100 Hz GNSS receivers for precise positioning measurement. The embedded GNSS sensors can be integrated into the following Dewesoft systems:
The embedded GNSS receivers (100 Hz version) offer the same navigational and accuracy capabilities as our standalone 100 Hz DS-VGPS-HS/HSC units.
Bright, small, rugged LED display accessory is available for the drivers that can be used inside the vehicle. The display can be directly connected to any of our GPS devices and will display:
Speed
Heading
Altitude
Time
The number of satellites in reach
The DewesoftX DAQ software offers real-time 2D and 3D map visual control. The map visual control offers a built-in interactive GPS map via Open Street Maps. Several layers of map tiles are available:
Out-of-the-box satellite imaging with open-source OpenStreetMap layers hosted on Dewesoft’s map servers.
Support for custom tile and WMS layers as well as georeferenced images.
No manual alignment is required.
2D, 3D, and terrain display modes with standard, 1st, or 3d person camera options.
Online or offline support. Images can be pre-downloaded for offline usage.
Support of multiple layers with individually configurable opacity levels.
Channel-based trace coloring with various color schemes.
Ability to display multiple GPS signals on one widget.
3D model widget for yaw, pitch, and roll monitoring.
The mapping widget works no matter the GNSS/IMU hardware used. It works with any Dewesoft GNSS receiver or inertial navigation hardware. The widget also works with 3rd party supported INS hardware such as OxTS, Genesys ADMA, or if you get navigational data through CAN or other supported interfaces.
DewesoftX data acquisition software features a virtual polygon module for tests involving moving objects. It can visualize moving and static objects in a 3D virtual space. Polygon can also perform geometric measurements between multiple static or movable objects.
Polygon visualization and outputs can be calculated in real-time during the measurements or offline. It was specifically made for ADAS testing and vehicle dynamics testing but is far from being limited to just these two areas.
Processing mathematics of the virtual polygon module provides definable outputs:
Distance calculations (X and Y distance)
Angle calculations
Gate cross triggers
Time and time reset
Radius calculations
We provide a total solution for advanced position-based test and measurement applications. DewesoftX software received multiple innovation rewards, including software innovation of the year by Automotive Testing Technology International magazine, and serves as a one-stop software for all navigational tests.
