IOLITE 8xSTGS: The New 4-Wire Bridge Mode With Load Monitoring

IOLITE 8xSTGS v2 is the upgraded version of the existing IOLITE® 8xSTGS module. It is now equipped with exciting new features:
4-wire quarter bridge mode
Sensor break detection and load monitoring.
The 4-wire quarter bridge includes automatic lead-wire compensation, simplifying the setup for applications with a high number of channels, such as static structural tests on an airplane. It can reliably handle wire resistance over cable lengths of up to 100 meters.
Load monitoring offers visibility into excitation voltage, load resistance, current flow through the load, and total power. These readings can be easily viewed in the channel setup or during the measurement using System monitor channels.


The Excitation power status channel will be set to "Open" for currents below 1 mA, "Overload" for values above 50 mA, and "OK" for everything in between.
The load monitoring feature is available for free on all STGSv2 modules, while the 4-wire quarter bridge is an optional software upgrade. The IOLITE 8xSTGS v2 is available for both IOLITE and OBSIDIAN rack systems as well as the IOLITE modular version. It comes with Terminal block or D-SUB37 input connectors.
